🆕 A Fresh Start on QQPK Poker
Day 35 begins a completely new phase of The Professor Challenge. After ending the short-stack experiment on Day 34, I have moved the bankroll to QQPK Poker and dropped all the way down to NL2.
The first impression has been very positive. The player pool feels familiar — in many ways similar to what I was seeing on Titi Poker — but the software experience is significantly better.

💼 Rebuilding From $166.69
The new phase starts with $166.69. That figure comes from $142.69 transferred from the Titi Poker bankroll after fees, plus another $24 already sitting in my QQPK account from more than a year ago.
This is an important reset because the bankroll is no longer being forced to support an NL20 short-stack strategy. The objective now is rebuild first, move up later.
The starting screenshot confirms the $166.69 bankroll, while the final screenshot shows the first session closing at $171.22.
📉 Why Moving Down to NL2 Makes Sense
Going from NL20 to NL2 may look like a huge step backward, but for the bankroll challenge it is actually a structural improvement. The goal is not to play the highest stake possible; the goal is to create a bankroll that can survive variance while still allowing good poker decisions.
The downswing across Day 33 and Day 34 showed how fragile the previous setup had become. Playing 40BB repeatedly compressed too much of the result into preflop and flop all-ins.
At NL2, the bankroll has far more room to breathe. More importantly, I can return to a format where postflop skill matters much more.
🧠 Back to 150BB Poker
The biggest strategic difference is stack depth. On QQPK I can sit with around 150 big blinds instead of being limited to approximately 40BB.
That changes almost everything. There is more space for position, range construction, bet sizing, bluff-catching and multi-street exploitation. These are exactly the areas where I would rather try to create an edge.
The contrast with the short-stack phase described on Day 28 is enormous. The plan back then was always to return to deeper poker once the bankroll allowed it. The route changed, but the strategic destination did not.
✅ A Positive First Session
The first QQPK session was small but encouraging. The bankroll moved from $166.69 to $171.22, producing a +$4.53 session result.
There is obviously no reason to draw conclusions from one short session, but after the previous downswing it is good to begin the new phase with a positive result and a more comfortable structure.
More important than the profit itself is the feeling that the challenge is once again being played in a format that fits the bankroll. That is the real win from Day 35.

🎓 Technical Comment by Marchese del River

The most important decision on Day 35 is not a hand; it is the change in game structure. Moving from NL20 short-stack to NL2 with 150BB is a rational response to the bankroll situation.
A deeper stack does not remove variance, but it changes where the edge can appear. Instead of committing a large percentage of the stack in a small number of preflop confrontations, the player gets more opportunities to exploit weak ranges across multiple streets.
The lower stake also reduces the financial pressure of each individual pot. That should make it easier to focus on decision quality rather than bankroll preservation.
The danger now is impatience. After playing NL20, NL2 can feel almost too small. The correct approach is to treat the rebuild seriously, accumulate a meaningful sample and move up only when the bankroll — not the ego — says it is time.

💭 Final Thoughts
Day 35 is less about the +$4.53 result and more about the beginning of a new phase of the challenge. QQPK replaces Titi Poker, NL2 replaces NL20, and 150BB replaces the short-stack format.
The bankroll closes at $171.22. It is still a small bankroll, but the structure around it now makes much more sense.
The objective is simple: rebuild patiently, exploit the softer pool and earn the move back up.
The Bankroll Challenge continues.
