📊 The New WPT Global Traffic Data
Until recently, industry traffic databases had an important blind spot when measuring WPT Global. Its tournament activity was being tracked, but its cash-game traffic was not included in the same way.
That changed when Sharkscope Analytics began tracking WPT Global cash games in August 2026. According to Poker Industry PRO data reported by Pokerfuse, WPT Global's combined PRO Score moved from roughly 1,500 to around 2,000 once cash-game activity was incorporated.
At the end of August, its 30-day moving average reached 2,082. By September 15, WPT Global was reported at a PRO Score of 1,870, with approximately 1,833 cash-game players and 73,325 MTT entries.
WPT Global did not suddenly gain hundreds of cash players overnight. The measurement improved. A significant part of its existing ecosystem was finally being counted.
🌍 How WPT Global Compares With Other Poker Rooms
The September snapshot puts WPT Global into much clearer context. GGPoker remains in a completely different category in terms of overall scale, while PokerStars and Winamax also recorded larger combined scores.
But when we isolate cash games, the picture changes. WPT Global reported approximately 1,833 cash players, compared with approximately 2,268 on PokerStars and 1,928 on CoinPoker.
For cash players, WPT Global is operating surprisingly close to some of the biggest cash-game ecosystems currently being tracked.
💰 The Cash Game Numbers Are the Real Story
PokerStars' reported cash traffic was only around 24% higher than WPT Global's in this snapshot. The tournament gap was dramatically larger: PokerStars recorded about 178,903 MTT entries against WPT Global's 73,325.
That tells us something important about WPT Global: its strength is disproportionately concentrated in cash games. The independent traffic numbers now give us a much better way of evaluating the size of that ecosystem.
🏆 Cash Traffic vs Tournament Traffic
This distinction matters because a single poker-traffic number can be misleading. A room with huge tournament series may generate enormous entry counts while another room can have fewer tournament entries but far more continuous cash action.
Winamax illustrates the difference. Its overall score was far above WPT Global's, yet its reported cash traffic was approximately 1,095 compared with WPT Global's 1,833. A poker player needs to know where the liquidity actually is.
🌏 Why Asia Matters So Much
There is another reason WPT Global can look different from traditional Western poker rooms: Asia is a major part of its ecosystem. CNY-denominated games and Asia-focused playing schedules form an important part of the platform's identity.
That helps explain why judging WPT Global only through a traditional European or North American poker lens can be misleading. The player pool is genuinely international, combining players from Asia, Europe, Latin America and other markets.
