QQPK Bans 724 Accounts: Inside the 2,587 Suspected Bots Investigation

Oct 13
6 min read

Updated: Oct 16

QQPK Bot Investigation — 724 Accounts Banned

Online poker has another serious game-integrity controversy on its hands. But this time, the story has already moved beyond anonymous accusations and suspicious graphs.

On October 13, 2026, QQPK announced 724 permanent account bans following an investigation into unauthorized automated play and other serious rule violations.

The announcement follows an independent report identifying 2,587 suspected accounts and extraordinary all-in results in a large tournament database. A separate technical analysis raised questions about client security.

The bans do not prove that the RNG was manipulated or that future cards were exposed to players. Here is what is established, what remains uncertain and what players should watch next.

UPDATE — OCTOBER 16, 2026 | QQPK releases new findings

In its October 15 report, QQPK said it had now permanently banned 893 accounts: 567 from the original list of 2,587 flagged accounts and 326 additional accounts identified through its internal investigation. The earlier 724 figure below reflects QQPK’s October 13 announcement, not the latest total. QQPK said the other 2,020 accounts from the original list remain under restricted monitoring; being flagged does not itself prove wrongdoing.

QQPK attributed some suspicious all-in results to coordinated hole-card sharing among colluding accounts and duplicate hand records in the external dataset. QQPK also said its internal review found no evidence of RNG manipulation or unauthorized access to unrevealed cards through the platform. These are the operator’s reported findings; independent verification of the dataset, calculations and security conclusions is still needed.

QQPK also announced a $300,000 compensation fund, comprising $64,627 confiscated from banned accounts and $235,373 contributed by QQPK. The company said it expects to provide affected-tournament details and compensation calculations by October 17, 2026. An announced fund does not mean payments have already reached affected players.

🤖 724 Accounts Banned: The Latest Development

On October 13, 2026, QQPK announced that 724 accounts had been permanently banned following an investigation into unauthorized automated play and serious violations of its rules. This is a substantial enforcement action, but it does not establish that every account originally flagged by independent investigators has been proven to be a bot.

The original report flagged 2,587 suspected accounts. The overlap between that group and the 724 banned accounts has not been fully established publicly. Nor has QQPK yet explained whether the banned accounts operated together, how long they were active, or the precise financial impact on other players.

📊 The Investigation That Started Everything

On October 9, independent researchers described an analysis of QQPK tournament hand histories collected between July 2 and October 2, 2026. They reported 27,936 tournaments, approximately 4.18 million individual hand-history records, 2,587 suspected automated accounts and 193,757 qualifying all-ins.

The researchers also reported approximately 138,705 big blinds above all-in equity expectation and a statistical deviation of 14.6 sigma. These are the investigators' reported figures, not independently audited findings. The estimated total hands covered was approximately 26 million; that is a different measure from the 4.18 million individual records.

The allegations deserve serious scrutiny, but we have not independently reproduced the calculations or audited the original dataset.

QQPK investigation numbers: suspected accounts, announced bans and all-in results

🃏 Why Researchers Suspect a Large Bot Network

The investigators pointed to similar gameplay profiles, standardized preflop sizing and recurring limp–3-bet patterns across accounts. Those patterns can warrant investigation, but behavioral similarity alone is not proof of automated play.

A reliable investigation must consider account relationships, session timing, device records and server-side information that outside researchers usually cannot access. For a detailed explanation, see our guide to how poker rooms detect bots.

📈 The 14.6-Sigma Mystery: What Does It Mean?

All-in EV compares actual outcomes with expected results at the moment the money goes in. Across many correctly recorded hands, unusual deviations can be tested statistically.

A 14.6-standard-deviation result would be extraordinary under a correctly specified statistical model. But the headline alone cannot prove cheating. The selection of suspicious accounts, completeness of hand histories, dependencies among observations, side-pot treatment and equity calculations all affect interpretation.

The researchers also described a subset of 33,958 exact flop/turn calculations, with approximately 19,006 big blinds of positive deviation. Independent reconstruction of the raw data and methodology is needed before the claimed anomaly can be considered established. Even a validated anomaly would not, by itself, identify its cause.

🔐 The QQPK Client and Manual-Dealing Allegations

A separate technical analysis posted on October 12 raised questions about encrypted deck information and references to a restricted manual-dealing interface in QQPK's client. The contributor said an associated production endpoint returned an authorization error.

These observations raise legitimate questions about access controls and audit logs, but they do not demonstrate that future cards were exposed to players or that real-money games were manually manipulated. A development or administrative function is not itself proof of exploitation.

Unauthorized automation, access to hidden information and manipulation of card distribution are different allegations requiring different evidence.

🛡️ What QQPK Has Officially Confirmed

On October 10, QQPK publicly acknowledged the researchers' report and announced server-side checks, reviews of reported accounts and precautionary withdrawal restrictions during the investigation. It also invited researchers to compare findings.

On October 13, QQPK announced 724 permanent bans for unauthorized automated play and serious rule violations. That is a concrete enforcement outcome, but important questions remain: which accounts were involved, how they operated, what losses occurred and whether compensation will be available.

QQPK promised a more comprehensive report by October 17, 2026. That date is still in the future as of this article's publication.

QQPK investigation timeline from October 9 to expected October 17 report

🎰 Does QQPK RNG Certification Prove the Games Are Fair?

QQPK has pointed to an RNG certificate issued by Gaming Laboratories International, with testing dated July 31, 2025 and validity listed through August 2027. Certification is relevant but should not be mistaken for a permanent guarantee covering every operational security control.

A fair random-number generator does not prevent bots, collusion or unauthorized access to hidden information. Read our guide to online poker RNG certification and our analysis of collusion detection.

💰 What Happens to Players Who Faced These Accounts?

The most important practical question is whether legitimate players lost money to confirmed rule-breakers. An investigation should identify affected sessions and accounts before estimating losses or announcing remediation.

As of October 13, no detailed compensation program has been established in the reviewed public announcements. Players should preserve hand IDs, tournament IDs, account statements, transaction histories and support correspondence. Never provide passwords, wallet recovery phrases or private keys to anyone claiming to investigate on the operator's behalf.

A delayed withdrawal is not automatic proof that an account was identified as a bot. Our guide to poker withdrawal delays explains the distinction.

📅 What We Need to See on October 17

QQPK has committed to further findings by October 17. A meaningful report should explain the methodology behind the bans, clarify the status of the original 2,587 suspected accounts, independently assess the all-in EV claims and address the technical questions about card security and administrative interfaces.

It should also explain how affected players will be identified, whether compensation is contemplated and whether sufficiently detailed evidence can be independently reviewed. A reassuring statement is not a substitute for verifiable evidence.

⚖️ What Is Proven and What Remains Unverified

The 724 bans are confirmed as QQPK's public enforcement announcement. The 2,587 suspected accounts and 14.6-sigma deviation are claims from independent researchers, not yet independently validated findings. Manipulation of the RNG, exploitation of hidden-card information and manual dealing in real-money games have not been established.

The existence of an RNG certificate does not settle those separate questions. Neither the full financial impact nor a detailed compensation program has been confirmed. Responsible reporting requires keeping each of these categories distinct.

🏁 Final Thoughts

QQPK's announcement of 724 permanent bans is significant. It establishes that the operator says it has acted against serious violations, but does not resolve every allegation raised by the investigation.

The statistical anomalies still need independent reproduction. The client-security questions need technical clarification. Legitimate players deserve a clear explanation of any harm and possible remedies.

The Poker Broker has previously featured QQPK through commercial relationships. That does not change our editorial assessment, and we will not encourage players to overlook unresolved game-integrity concerns.

Trust in online poker must be earned through verifiable fairness, transparent enforcement and accountability. If you have documented information relevant to this investigation, contact The Poker Broker privately on Telegram. Never share sensitive account credentials.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions

QQPK announced 724 permanent account bans for unauthorized automated play and serious rule violations. The public announcement does not explain every case.

Researchers flagged 2,587 suspected accounts, not a verified count of confirmed bots. The overlap with the 724 bans is not fully public.

No. Unusual statistical results and technical concerns have been reported, but manipulation of real-game card distribution has not been established.

It is the researchers’ reported deviation under their model. Independent validation of the data and assumptions is still needed.

A public GLI certificate lists successful RNG testing in July 2025, but it does not guarantee the security of every other component.

No detailed compensation program has been publicly confirmed in the announcements reviewed as of October 13.

QQPK said it would publish further findings by October 17, 2026.
